Though the conference’s theme is general BTS Studies, submissions intersecting with a wide variety of fields are welcome.
We are especially interested in presentations that consider the wider impacts of BTS and ARMY.
This is Bangtan Scholars first-ever official event organized from the in-house team by Courtney Lazore and Cecilia Perez.
Conference Dates
Abstract Submission Deadline: July 14, 2023 by 11:59 p.m. (Pacific)
Acceptance Notifications: Week of August 13, 2023
Live Sessions: November 11, 2023
Access to Asynchronous Presentations: November 9 - 18, 2023
Submission Types
Live Presentations: Panels of 4 and allotted 10 minutes each, with a 15 min. Q&A.
Pre-Recorded Presentations: 10-20 min. in length and will be posted to the conference Discord server for asynchronous viewing and discussion.
Poster Presentations: We welcome your creativity. Posters can be five-minute videos, digital posters, websites, etc.
Registration to Attend/Schedule
The conference is free of charge, but registration will be required.
The event will take place entirely online via livestreaming on Bangtan Scholars Official YouTube and Discord. Registration will open this Fall.
